Paper Stocks

We offer a range of different paper stock combinations across our various products; all of them are considered high quality paper stocks. 

Unfortunately there is no mix and matching allowed within the same product, other than those listed here. Please choose from the options below when ordering, or contact us for a custom quote.

270-350gsm stocks are thick card (approx 0.5mm). 118-160gsm stocks are about half as thick as card stock. For reference, standard home printer copy paper is about 80-100gsm. 

 

Smooth Matte - Bright White

 

 

The #1 All-Rounder. Smooth uncoated matte paper with great colour rendition and great detail. This is a safe stock option for the vast majority of projects.

The two different stock weights match each other in tone and texture, with the 325gsm card being about twice as thick as the 160gsm paper.

Smooth Matte - Natural White

 

 

The same as above, just a warmer, slightly creamier tone when compared to it's Bright White brother. Suited to jobs with more white space than actual printed artwork, where it can add a subtle old-world feel, or as the name suggests, a more natural look. Colours could be slightly less accurate and less vibrant when compared to the Bright White equivalent, but with flooded colours over the page (like in the sample images of the dog and cat), you'll be hard pressed to notice a difference. If in doubt, go for Bright White instead.

The two different stock weights match each other in tone and texture, with the 350gsm card being about two and a half times as thick as the 130gsm paper.

Heavy Textured Matte - Bright White

 

 

The most tactile paper available. Heavily textured uncoated matte paper with great colour rendition and good detail. The covers and internal pages match each other in tone and texture, with the covers being about twice as thick as the internal sheets. This is a a good option for those seeking a more organic, premium feel. The downside is that pages may get dirty more easily than other stock options. 

The two different stock weights match each other in tone and texture, with the 270gsm card being about two and a half times as thick as the 118gsm paper.

  • Note: although the "gsm" weight is lower than other stocks, the paper is so textured and wavy that it still looks and feels about as thick as the other paper options.

 

 

Super Smooth Satin - Bright White

 

 

High detail, high durability. A very smooth coated satin stock that reproduces images better than the rest. The covers and internal pages match each other in tone and texture, with the covers being about twice as thick as the internal sheets. The covers are also celloglazed, meaning they have a thin layer of satin/matte plastic fused over the top of the print for added durability. 

The two different stock weights match each other in tone and texture, with the 350gsm card being about twice as thick as the 150gsm paper.

Special - Black Matte

 

 

The covers are made from a black card stock that can be printed on in either black or white ink. Black ink gives a subtle but classy "black-on-black" look, while white ink really pops off the page. Note that the white ink will not be fluorescent bright white. It is a very light shade of grey because of the way the black stock can show through from underneath. You will need to set your artwork up in a special way if you want white ink - see our artwork set-up page for more info.

For Portfolios, Books & Bookets (where indicated by "Special Black Matte Covers"): The two different stock weights do not match each other. The 320gsm card being the black stock, and the internal pages are 160gsm smooth bright white paper.

  • Portfolio Internal Pages: 160gsm White. CMYK Print.

 

Special - Kraft Matte

 

 

Natural earthy goodness. The covers are from a recycled card stock that resembles brown kraft paper. White or black ink goes really well here, but you can choose to print in full CMYK colour instead. Keep in mind colours will not be as vibrant as they are when on white paper because the brown kraft colour is going to show through. You will need to set your artwork up in a special way if you want white ink - see our artwork set-up page for more info.

Envelopes

Envelopes are intended to match the respective card stocks as close as possible. They are all approx 120gsm as per normal envelopes (eg Hallmark card envelopes).
